Dog Rescued After 20 Hours Stuck in Pipe

A young border collie that followed his instincts into a drainage pipe near Charlottesville spent 20 hours wedged in the pipe until firefighters freed him Monday. The dog's owner says the dog was probably chasing a squirrel.

Plane Crashes After Refueling in Blacksburg

A small plane made an emergency crash-landing in Blacksburg Tuesday shortly after stopping to refuel at the Virginia Tech-Montgomery Executive Airport. The four-seat plane struck an embankment at the side of the airport, but no one was injured.
